MIT45 is a legitimate kratom brand: it is on the American Kratom Association GMP Qualified Vendor list as "MIT 45," it posts a certificate of analysis for each product, and its refund policy covers opened products. It scores 7.9/10 on KratomRated as of September 25, 2026. The catch for plain-leaf buyers: MIT45 sells extracts, not powder.
We did not buy or test MIT45 products. Everything below comes from MIT45's published pages, one of its COAs and news coverage.
Verdict
MIT45 has some of the most detailed lab documentation of any brand we track. The Gold Cap COA we reviewed lists the lab, the alkaloid results including 7-OH, four heavy metals and a microbial panel. Its return policy is fair and free shipping starts at $70. It ranks fourth because its range is narrow: there is no plain leaf powder, only liquid extracts, capsules and gummies. If you want powder, start with Kats Botanicals or Golden Monk.
Is MIT45 legit?
- AKA GMP listing: "MIT 45" is on the AKA vendor list in September 2026, and the site mentions "American Kratom Association certification."
- Age requirement: The footer says buyers "must be 21 or over to purchase these products."
- Public stance on 7-OH: In April 2025, SupplySide Supplement Journal reported MIT45 CEO Ryan Niddel saying concentrated 7-OH products "are not kratom products, and MIT45 will never produce, sell or support them." The same report said MIT45 keeps 7-OH under 1% of total alkaloids.
Is MIT45 safe? Lab testing
MIT45's product COA page links a finished-product COA for each item, such as MIT45 Gold, Super K, Super K Extra Strong and MIT45 Go, plus COAs for ingredients like vegetable glycerin and citric acid.
The Gold Cap COA we reviewed (batch 271189) was issued by Cambium Analytica in September 2024 and showed:
- Alkaloids: 73.96 mg mitragynine and 0.27 mg 7-hydroxymitragynine per serving
- Heavy metals: arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury, all below action limits
- Microbial: Salmonella, E. coli, coliforms, aerobic bacteria, Staph aureus, yeast and mold, all non-detectable
- Not included: pesticides
- Result: overall pass

Lab reports do not make kratom risk-free. The FDA warns of liver toxicity, seizures and substance use disorder.

The site describes MIT45 Gold as a liquid kratom extract with glycerin, water and citric acid, containing 125 mg mitragynine per bottle. MIT45 also sells capsules and gummies. Because these are concentrated extracts, prices can't be compared gram-for-gram with leaf powder. MIT45 is widely sold in retail stores, so the online range is small.

- Free shipping: orders of $70 or more.
- Paid options: UPS SurePost $5, UPS 3 Day Select $10, UPS 2nd Day Air $15.
- Speed: orders by 2 PM MST on weekdays ship the same day.
- Refunds: 30 days from delivery, including opened products with at least 85% of contents left; 90 days for exchanges. Original shipping fees are refunded.

How MIT45 compares

Who it suits
Adults who specifically want a standardized leaf extract from a brand with thorough published COAs. Anyone looking for traditional leaf powder should look elsewhere.
What we could not verify
- Current COA dates. The COA we reviewed was dated September 2024. We did not open every product's current report.
- Formats and counts behind each shop price. The shop page lists four prices without clear sizes; one product page showed a much higher multi-unit price.
- Capsule and gummy pricing. These formats are mentioned on the site, but we did not capture their prices.
Before you order from MIT45
- Confirm kratom is legal where you live (state guide); MIT45 says it doesn't ship to restricted areas.
- Match the lot number on your product to its COA on the product COA page.
- Read the serving information on the label. Extracts list mitragynine per serving or per bottle, which is not comparable to a gram of leaf powder.
Risk note
The FDA has not approved kratom for any medical use. Concentrated extracts deliver more alkaloid per serving than leaf powder; read labels carefully. Kratom is banned in several states and some cities, and MIT45 sells only to adults 21+. This is not medical advice.
