It scores 8.4/10 and ranks second on KratomRated, based on information checked September 25, 2026.
We did not buy or test Golden Monk products. This review is based on the vendor's published pages and the AKA list.
Verdict
Golden Monk is the value pick. Its kilo powder prices start around $52.99, well below most vendors we track, and each product and size has a linked COA PDF. It falls short of Kats Botanicals mainly on selection: Golden Monk sells powders, capsules and gummies, and its smallest powder size is 250g, so there's no cheap way to sample.
Is Golden Monk legit?
- AKA GMP listing: Golden Monk is listed as "The Golden Monk" on the AKA's vendor list in September 2026. Its homepage also states it is "Certified by the American Kratom Association."
- Age gate: The site requires buyers to be 21 or older.
- Written policies: Its refund and shipping policies are specific about windows, rates and cutoffs.
The AKA program requires an annual third-party audit, but the AKA says it does not endorse product quality. Treat the listing as a baseline, not a guarantee.
Is Golden Monk safe? Lab testing
Golden Monk's COA page lists reports by product type and size, for example green, red and white powders in 250g, 500g and 1000g, and capsules in 250, 500 and 1,000 counts. Product pages also link to a COA, and the site says "each batch undergoes third-party lab testing before being portioned, packaged, and stored."
The COA index page does not name the lab or list which tests are included; those details are inside the individual PDFs. Before ordering, open the PDF for your exact product and check for alkaloid, heavy-metal and microbial results. Our lab report guide walks through each section.
The FDA warns that kratom carries risks including liver toxicity, seizures and substance use disorder. Testing addresses contamination, not those risks.

- Paid options: UPS SurePost $5 (5-7 days), UPS 3 Day Select $10, UPS 2nd Day Air $15.
- Speed: orders by 2 PM Mountain Time ship the same business day.
- Refunds: within 30 days of delivery; opened products qualify if at least 85% remains. Unopened products get a full refund. Return shipping is the customer's cost unless Golden Monk made an error.

Who it suits
Golden Monk fits buyers who already know which strain they want and want to buy in quantity. New buyers who want to try several strains in small amounts will find Happy Hippo or Kats Botanicals more practical.
What we could not verify
- The testing lab and panel. These are inside the individual COA PDFs; the COA index page does not list them.
- Gummy prices. Gummies appear on the homepage, but we did not capture a price.
- The exact per-size capsule pricing. The product page shows a range of $60.99-$71.99 across counts; we confirmed the 250-count price only.
Before you order from Golden Monk
- Check that kratom is legal in your state and city (2026 guide). Golden Monk says it does not ship to restricted areas, but the buyer is responsible.
- Open the COA for the exact product and size, and look for alkaloids, heavy metals and microbes (how to read a COA).
- Decide on quantity carefully: with no trial sizes, a 250g bag is the smallest commitment. If you're unsure, the 30-day refund covers opened bags with at least 85% left.
