Kats lets you look up the exact lot you received (COA page); Golden Monk lists a PDF for each product and size and links a COA from each product page (COA page), and says each batch is third-party tested before packaging. Neither vendor names its lab or lists the test panel on the index page, so open the PDF and check for alkaloids, heavy metals and microbes. Our lab report guide shows what to look for.
Compliance
Both score 10/10: both are AKA GMP listed, both state a 21+ purchase rule, and neither had 7-OH products on its site. Kats also sells extract-enhanced blends and a 45% extract softgel; Golden Monk sells only plain leaf powders, capsules and gummies. What neither vendor discloses up front
Both vendors leave some details inside the lab reports themselves, so plan to open them:
- Lab names. Neither the Kats COA page nor the Golden Monk COA index names the testing lab.
- Test panel. Neither index page lists which tests are run. Look inside the report for mitragynine and 7-OH, the four heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury) and a microbial panel.
- Report dates. Check that the report matches the lot on your package, not just the product name.
Order-size scenarios
- Trying two or three strains: Kats, because its smallest sizes start at $8.29 and bundles run $20.99. Golden Monk's smallest powder is 250g.
- One strain, 1kg: Golden Monk, with 1kg bags up to $52.99 versus Kats bulk options that start at $200 for larger sizes.
