Maeng Da Kratom (2026): Where to Buy It, Prices & Lab Tests

Maeng Da kratom is sold by seven of the eight vendors we rate, in red, green and white versions: Kats Botanicals, Golden Monk, Happy Hippo, Super Speciosa and Kona Kratom sell all three colors, while Kraken Kratom and Left Coast Kratom sell red and white. For the lowest one-time bulk price, Golden Monk's 1 kg bag ($52.99) led; for batch lab lookup, Kats Botanicals and Super Speciosa let you search a report by lot number or QR code (checked September 28, 2026).

What "Maeng Da" means

Maeng Da is a trade name, not a botanically distinct plant. Every Maeng Da product is leaf from Mitragyna speciosa, the same species as every other "strain." Vendors sell it in several vein colors; the color refers to the leaf vein at harvest and drying, as vendors describe it. Vendors often market Maeng Da as especially strong, but that is a marketing claim: effects aren't established, and the FDA hasn't approved kratom for any use. 1. Kats Botanicals (8.8/10). Kats sells green, white and red Maeng Da powder from $8.29 (35g) and 600mg capsules at $25.99 (90 ct) or $59.99 (250 ct). All three are disclosed blends on their product pages: Green Maeng Da is 80% green Maeng Da and 20% white vein, Red Maeng Da is 60% red vein (Borneo) and 40% white vein (JongKong), and White Maeng Da is 70% white vein and 30% green vein. Batch results are searchable by lot number or QR code on the COA page, though the page doesn't name the labs. Its "Super Maeng Da" line is listed as enhanced, so it isn't included here. 2. Golden Monk (8.4/10). All three colors come in 250g ($23.99) and 1 kg ($52.99) bags, the lowest one-time kilo price we found, plus capsules from $60.99 (250 ct). Golden Monk's COA page lists reports by vein color and size ("Green Kratom Powder 250g") rather than by strain name, so match the lot on your bag. Visit Golden Monk

3. Happy Hippo (8.1/10). Happy Hippo's "Elite" Maeng Da line (Hyper Hippo green, Rockstar Hippo white, Red Hot Hippo red) starts at 1 oz, the easiest way to try one color, and runs up to 5 kg. Capsules hold 500mg each; green starts at $21.99 for 100. It also sells a yellow Maeng Da and "Tickle Me Pink," which it lists as a white and red vein Maeng Da blend. 5. Kraken Kratom (7.8/10). Kraken sells "Maeng Da Thai" in red and white powder from 28g, red capsules from $15.99 (about 45 capsules), and a red 1 kg bag at $179.99. It states its powders are tested for heavy metals and microbes, but COAs are by request only. We couldn't confirm a green Maeng Da on its site. Visit Kraken Kratom

6. Super Speciosa (7.7/10). Green, white and red Maeng Da powder start at $19.99 (100g), and 60-count capsules at $16. Its lab lookup takes a 7-digit batch number and names two ISO 17025 labs. The $89 kilo requires a subscription; the one-time kilo price is $139.99. Visit Super Speciosa

7. Kona Kratom (6.9/10). All three colors in 250g to 1 kg powder and 350 to 1,500-count capsules (about 600mg each). Entry price is high, and we found no public COAs. Visit Kona Kratom

8. Left Coast Kratom (6.7/10). Red and white Maeng Da Thai powder from $7.49-$7.99 (28g) and red capsules from $13.99 on sale. No public COAs found, and no green Maeng Da confirmed. Visit Left Coast Kratom

How to compare Maeng Da products

1. Read the label, not the name. Kats's Maeng Da products are disclosed blends; other vendors describe theirs as single-ingredient leaf. Neither tells you alkaloid content.
2. Open the batch report. Mitragynine and 7-OH percentages, heavy metals and microbial results matter more than the color. See how to read a kratom lab report.
3. Avoid "enhanced" and 7-OH products. Some vendors sell extract-boosted "Maeng Da" versions next to plain leaf. We exclude them; see what is 7-OH.
4. Buy small first. Happy Hippo (1 oz), Kraken and Left Coast (28g) and Kats (35g) have the smallest bags.
